Stop googling
things twice.
AlreadySearching is a Mac app that answers before you finish asking. Press ⌥ Space anywhere: what's on your screen is already searched, with sources. And every answer is saved, so you never hunt for the same thing again.
- Triggers only on your copy or selection
- Clipboard-only by default. Screen access is a separate opt-in
- Answers and memory stay on your Mac
- Pause anytime, exclude any app, delete everything
You press one key.
It already searched.

Your Stripe client is created before the env loads, so stripe is undefined at import time.
Move new Stripe(key) inside the handler, or lazy-init: stripe ??= new Stripe(key).

An interactive concept of the exact flow, start to finish. Keep an eye on the menu bar: the search runs before any key is pressed.

Alpine Shell Jacket
$289
Waterproof 3-layer shell with 800-fill hydrophobic down insulation, pit zips, and a helmet-ready hood.
Free returns. Ships in 2 days.
Add to cart800-fill is top-tier warmth for weight. At $289 this undercuts comparable shells by $80 to $120.
One catch: "hydrophobic" coating handles drizzle, not soaking rain. Great for cold, wrong for storms.
- 0.0sYou select the thing you're unsure about. Or copy it. That's the only signal it needs.
- 0.6sBefore any key: the menu-bar icon confirms the search already ran, quietly, in the background.
- 2.1s⌥ Space. The panel opens with the answer and sources already in it. No tab, no typing, no spinner.
- 2.4sSaved to Memory on your Mac. Ask anything like it again, even next year: instant.
Works where you already are.
No new tab, no new app to live in. One key, everywhere you work.
Searching isn't the problem.
Searching again is.
The error you've pasted three times this month.
Same stack trace, same six tabs, same Stack Overflow thread you almost remember. It was solved. You solved it.
The thing you found and lost.
A perfect answer, two weeks ago, in a tab that's gone. Somewhere between history and memory, it vanished.
Twenty tabs for one question.
You didn't want a research project. You wanted the answer, sourced, in the app you were already in.
One key.
Every rabbit hole.
Errors are just the beginning. Anything you'd open a tab for, it's already looking into.
Every answer
becomes yours.
Each answer is saved on your Mac the moment it appears. Ask anything similar, even months later, and your past answer is already at the top, with a note on what's changed since.
- Stored locally on your Mac, not on our servers
- Recall is instant. No re-searching, no waiting
- A weekly recap shows how often it saved you a repeat
By the time you press it,
it already searched.
Copy an error. Select a product name. AlreadySearching notices the moments worth searching and quietly runs them in the background, so the panel opens with the answer, not a spinner.
- Triggers on strong signals only: copy, select, error patterns
- Three modes: Manual, Balanced, Proactive. You're in charge
- Pause it or exclude any app, any time
Your team googles the same things.
Stop paying for it twice.
On a Team plan, answers can be shared to a common memory. When a teammate hits the error you solved on Tuesday, your answer is already waiting for them.
- Shared memory is opt-in, per answer. Private by default
- 10× context and limits for heavy work

No model menus. No API keys. Nothing to configure. Each question is routed to the model best suited for it, silently. You just get answers.
Fair questions.
When does it launch?
The private beta rolls out to the waitlist in order, Mac first. Leave your email and you'll get a build as soon as one's ready for you.
Why not just use ChatGPT or Perplexity?
They're destinations: you go to them, paste context, and lose the answer in a chat history. AlreadySearching lives behind one key in whatever app you're in, pre-fetches from what you're doing, and keeps every answer permanently searchable. Different job: five seconds, in and out.
What can it actually see?
By default: your clipboard, only when you invoke it. Selection reading and screen context are separate opt-in switches you can flip on later, or never. You can pause capture or exclude any app, and saved answers stay on your Mac.
Where does my data live, and can I delete it?
Your answers and memory live on your Mac. A question is sent to search and model providers only to answer it, never to train models, never sold. You can pause capture, exclude apps, and delete or export your memory whenever you like. Full detail in Privacy.
Which AI model does it use?
The right one for each question. Routing happens behind the scenes and we upgrade it continuously; there are no model menus and nothing to configure. You just get answers with sources.
Windows or Linux?
Mac ships first. Join the waitlist and mark Windows; it ships next, in order of demand.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel in one click, and your saved memory stays on your Mac either way. It's your data.
